New Minister of Formation Joins the St. Paul's Staff

St. Paul’s is proud to welcome Amelia Arthur to our church staff as minister of formation focusing on youth and children’s ministries. A wife, mom, and lay minister originally from Washington, D.C., Amelia most recently served as the youth and young adult coordinator for the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana. She left that position earlier this summer to spend more time with her children, and we are pleased that she has accepted the call to serve St. Paul’s on a part-time basis.

“Amelia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, as well as a loving heart for young people to St. Paul’s,” said Fr. Rob Courtney. “She is a wonderful addition to our talented staff who will help us better minister to our children, as well as enhance our formation opportunities for adults. We are blessed to have her!”

A lifelong Episcopalian, Amelia has worked in youth and young adult ministry for over a decade, serving parishes, campus ministry programs, and Episcopal camps and conference centers throughout the Southeastern United States. Amelia lives in New Orleans with her husband, Michael, and their two young children, Lucy and Winston. Please warmly welcome Amelia and her family when you meet them.
