Reflections of Lent

    02.18.21 | by Kristen Wheeler

Lent is a time to refocus and reorient our lives around God again. This Lent, we invite you to reconnect with God in prayer through a variety of offerings that will help you explore and deepen your prayer life. Whether you choose the book study, prayer sessions, devotional, or some combination of the three, we pray that you will commit to this practice for all 40 days of Lent. Try it out for this season and see how God shows up for you.

Book Study - Join us on Sunday mornings in Lent at 9:00 AM in person (limited to 10 people) or virtually as we read through Busy Lives & Restless Souls: How Prayer Can Help You Find the Missing Piece in Your Life by Becky Eldredge, Louisiana native and Spiritual Director. You can pick up a copy of the book at St. Paul's, $5.00 suggested donation, or you can purchase your own copy HERE. Check your ePISTLE each Friday for the Zoom link and password.

Centering Prayer - Beginning at 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings in Lent, Mtr. Liz will lead Centering Prayer Sessions in the Parlor. Centering Prayer is a form of prayer that is rooted in meditative, contemplative silence. You do not need to have any experience with Centering Prayer, bring anything, or prepare anything to attend. These sessions are open to any and all who are interested in exploring a new way of praying. Space is limited to 5 people, please sign up by emailing Mother Liz.

Devotional - The Lenten Devotional is here! Father Rob and Mother Liz worked very hard on the content of this devotional for your use every day in Lent. Everything is broken down into bite-sized morsels for daily and weekly devotion in this time of deep reflection. Download the devotional HERE, we hope you enjoy it and we can't wait to share in your journeys. You can even download a coloring book page of the St. Paul icon HERE.
