Service, Supper, & Substance (#S3atStP) begins again on Jan. 11. For the first seven weeks of the new year we're going to explore Christ and culture. How do the two fit together, particularly in South Louisiana? So many important aspects of our culture bump against our Christian faith and raise important questions. We're going to ask some of those questions together.
How do we live reverently as Christians in a culture like South Louisiana known for so much irreverence? We’re going to discuss everything from Mardi Gras to food & drink; from football to entertainment; from coastal erosion to homelessness. Join us for discussions on faith and local culture featuring a special guest or two each week.
#S3atStP features Holy Eucharist at 5:30 PM in the chapel, supper at 6:00 PM ($3 suggested donation for kids, $8 for adults, no family donates more than $20) catered by Figaro’s, and the program at 6:30 PM. Come for the worship, the food, the learning, or any combination of the three. We’re done by 7:30 PM. There’s always childcare for the littles during the program, and older kids meet upstairs for games and their own conversation, or homework. All are welcome!
